Join the City of Bentonville, community partners, and local residents as we celebrate the completion of two important active transportation projects expanding connectivity in Southwest Bentonville.
This shared ribbon cutting activation at Wildwood Park will celebrate the completion of the SW Bentonville Trail – Gator Road Connection and the SW Bright Road Sidepath South projects, together adding nearly one mile of new sidepath infrastructure that improves access to parks, schools, neighborhoods, and regional trail connections.
The SW Bentonville Trail – Gator Road Completion extends the larger Southwest Bentonville Trail network, helping advance a future loop connection around the Walmart distribution centers and eventually linking to the Little Osage Creek Trail and broader regional trail system.
The SW Bright Road Sidepath South project creates safer and more connected access between neighborhoods south of Regional Airport Boulevard and key community destinations including Willowbrook Elementary, Bright Field Middle School, Fulbright Junior High, Wildwood Park, Creekside Park, the Bentonville Community Center, and the Razorback Greenway.
These projects represent another step toward building a more connected Bentonville where residents of all ages and abilities have safer options to walk, bike, roll, and access everyday destinations.
Following the ribbon cutting, attendees are encouraged to explore the new connections, enjoy community activations, and celebrate the continued progress of the Connecting Bentonville vision.
